Our take
I bought the DLC-108TX medium shredding disc for my old DLC-5 processor, and it works as expected. The stainless steel cutting edge does a decent job on carrots and cheese, but the plastic body feels flimsy compared to my original disc. At $12.71, it's not the cheapest, but it's a genuine Cuisinart part. The fixed stem is easy to install. The main downside is it only does medium shred; you'll need other discs for fine or coarse. Also, the plastic may not last as long as metal. It's a functional replacement, but manage expectations.
